Step inside Dr. Watson’s private case files and follow the clues to unravel the mystery of A Study in Scarlet.
Designed to resemble Watson’s century-old scrapbook, this unusual volume brings together facsimile diary entries, handwritten notes, telegrams, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other evidence. Bound with a red ribbon, its deliberately aged pages and informal arrangement create the impression of a well-handled collection assembled by Watson himself.
Some copies originally included four glassine envelopes containing additional clue props: a gold wedding ring, a replica poison pill, and two calling cards. Their presence varies by copy; please refer to this listing’s photographs and condition notes for included contents.
An atmospheric, hands-on companion to Sherlock Holmes’s first adventure—and a distinctive addition to any Holmes collection.
